Position:Post-doctoral Research Fellow

The First Affiliated Hospital of Xi'an Jiaotong University is alarge and comprehensive hospital combining patient health care, teaching, andscientific research.It is one of the select hospitals honored with the level-three class-A rank in China, and has been one of the first national "One Hundred Exemplary Hospitals."The Precision Medicine Center is a newly established, state-of-the-art Research Center through international collaborations between theFirst Affiliated Hospital of Xi'an Jiaotong Universityand Dr. Charles Lee, the Scientific Director of The Jackson Laboratory for Genomic Medicine (JAX-GM) in Farmington, CT, USA. Dr. Chun-Ti Chen, research scientist at The First Affiliated Hospital of Xi’an Jiaotong University, serves as the lead of theLaboratory of Microbiome and PDX.

Research directions and objectivesin this group include medical microbiology, cancer immunology and development of patient-derived-xenograft animal model. Firstly, we are keen to understand human microbiome meta-genome research and the effect of tumor microenvironment to cancer immunotherapy. Secondly, we use PDX model as a platform to understand mechanisms of cancer immunotherapy and drug discovery.

Qualification:

1.Professional backgroundand doctoral degree in immunology, immune-oncology, microbiology, system biology, molecular biology, cell biology, biochemistry, genetics, translational medicine, or other relevant fields.

2.Obtained one’s doctoral degree in the past 3 years,non-employed.

3.Having first-author publication in international high-impact journals.

4.Ability to work independently and function in a collaborative environment

5.Experience working with mouse models is preferable.

6.Good work ethics (responsible and diligent).

7.Strong aptitude for learning and attention to details.

8.Progessional computer application skills, such as Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint.

Responsibilities:

1.Conduct independent research as well as contribute to larger team-based research projects.

2.Analyze and summarize the research data.

3.Be involved in the training of lab members.

4.Be involved in manuscript and grant writing and submission.

5.Leading one national research or one provincial research grant.
